Memorial Day Weekend
This Memorial Weekend, we headed Up North to the Iron Range to see my Grandma, Grandpa, Nonno and Nonna. We stayed at the cabin with my Mom and Dad and enjoyed all the traditions that make up the best memories of my childhood...these traditions are now becoming the memories Emilia will have. A warm fire in the morning and a hot sauna at night. A delicious meal of pasta and meatballs served with the calls of the loons on the lake in the background. Life is so simple at the cabin...I love it.

Bath Time!
Emilia enjoys her bath time so much! We found a new bath seat at a garage sale that lets Emilia sit up and enjoy all that a full bath tub has to offer :) She is quite the different little lady than 11 months ago when she experienced her first bath at home...my ears are still ringing from that!

Mother's Day!

Last year on Mother's Day, I was very pregnant! Jeff and I spent the day picking out and planting flowers at home. The post lady wished me a Happy Mother's Day when she walked through the yard and saw my BIG belly :) It felt really good, but I knew what would feel even better was to have Emilia out of my belly and in my arms on Mother's Day. And this year, I got to experience just that.
So on Mother's Day, I want to say Thank You to my Mom and Jeff's Mom for giving us life so that I could join the club and become Emilia's Mom!There is no greater gift in the world than being a Mommy :)

BYOB Yoga
Today, Emilia and I went to our first Yoga Class as Mommy and Baby. It was a class at Blooma called BYOB yoga (Bring Your Own Baby). The class is designed to be a relaxing, bonding experience.Well, we had a little bit of that...but, Emilia just started her "army crawl" this week, therefore, she was a little hard to hold onto. And, she was about twice as big as most of the babies in the class, so it was a lot of work for me to lift her overhead for long periods...
All in all, it was a really fun experience and we will go back! Next time for BYOB Crawlers! Thank you, Jeff (Daddy) for the thoughtful gift card to Blooma for your girl's on Valentine's Day!
