Back To Work

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to send out a note thanking you all for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes when I returned to work last week. I really cannot believe how fast the time flew by! It was, of course, so hard to leave my little sweetie after 11 weeks of being with her everyday – enjoying her every smile and new accomplishment, but we are both doing well! Here's a picture of me and Emilia from my first day back to work and her first full day at daycare. Pay no attention to the tears filling up my eyes...

Emilia’s daycare provider has reported that she exhibits a “most delightful” personality – interacting with the other children with lots of smiles and laughs. Her naps are much longer than when we were home together, but that is mostly attributed to the highly stimulating environment she is in! She hasn’t taken very well to being given a bottle, but she is thriving nonetheless.

As for me, being back at work feels surprisingly good. I’m glad my mind didn’t suffer from the “summer off” syndrome. I have jumped into working with a new sales rep / new accounts within the office and find that my days have been going pretty fast. I look forward to 4:30pm when I can bust out of here and go pick up with little miss!

So, that’s the update for now. 12 weeks into this amazing new life and more fun every day! The below two pictures are of Emilia from over this past weekend – one with her looking so big in her cute shoes and one sitting up in her Bumbo chair. Enjoy!
