Hello Everyone,
Emilia will be 9 months old tomorrow! The time has flown by and she is more fun every day! She is full of smiles and giggles and loves to give big kisses. She is busy rolling, scooting, sitting and spinning around in a circle while on her belly. She loves to stand by holding our hands or leaning against the couch. We are in no hurry for her to be crawling or walking around the house though since we haven't completed the baby proofing overhaul! We really look forward to every new trick she has to show us!
We have tried lots of foods with her, all of which she loves! She is just a born little eater - it must be the Italian in her. We'll have to teach her to say and understand what "manja" means (manja = eat in Italian). In addition to that, we are working on baby signs for words like eat, more, milk, all done and thank you. Hopefully all of our efforts will pay off someday soon and she'll sign with us. As far as words, she is saying "baba" and "dada" but not relating them to objects yet. We are still working everyday on "mama"! I can't wait for that one!
The addition of her two bottom teeth is very exciting too! They are just as beautiful as little teeth can be! We brush them every night, which Emilia really enjoys! Once we "brush away the bugs" we let Emilia hold the toothbrush and practice. She is such a good sport :)
Everyone always wants to know, "if we're getting any sleep" and we are happy to report that we all get great sleep :) Emilia goes to bed by 7pm and sleeps until about 6:30am. She hasn't figured out that she should sleep in on the weekends, but that's okay - we look forward to the full days we get to enjoy with her!
