Emilia is becoming such a big helper with Olivia. Everyone always asks the big sister, "Are you a big helper for Mommy?" and the truth is - she really is! Olivia LOVES her big sister. There is NO ONE that makes Olivia laugh more than Emilia. She just belly laughs at all the silly little voices or gestures or dances Emilia does. My heart just explodes watching the relationship develop between the two of them. They will forever have each other and for that, I am SO thankful. I never knew the relationship of a sibling so it is so special for me to see the gift that it is from this perspective.
Okay - back to what Emilia has been doing to be a big helper. Her FAVORITE thing to help with is feeding Olivia. When Liv was a newbie, Emilia was thrilled when we would let her hold her and give her a bottle. She was really great at it. Now that we're full speed ahead with solids, Emilia loves to pull up a chair in front of the highchair and spoon up some yummy rice cereal / fruit or veggie combo for her sis. While she's feeding her sis, I'm able to get dinner ready or do some dishes and sometimes, even just stand back and watch and enjoy the moment.
