Easter was a little different for our family this year with Jeff and I spending the holiday 1500 miles away from our little loves. I was sad to miss a holiday with them and the memories that come out of seeing their excitement over the little things, but we weren't TOO sad... We got to spend some great quality time together and ring in my 30th birthday in WINE COUNTRY. Jeff planned an AMAZING itinerary for us and all I had to do was be there to enjoy it! San Francisco, a convertaible, wineries, AMAZING scenery, a great rental house and the luxury of sleeping in!
My parents took vacation time to come stay with the girls and I'm pretty certain they enjoyed themselves as much as we did...just in a completely different way. On Easter morning, the girls got to search for eggs and their Easter baskets FILLED with goodies the ever so thoughtful Easter bunny had prepared for them (nudge, nudge). And after all the eggs were found, they got all dressed up for church in the beautiful dresses Grandma brought for them. Thankfully, my mom and dad KNEW I would want to at least share the moment through pictures, so they did their best to capture it all for me :)
Thanks Mom and Dad for taking such good care of our sweeties! They had so much fun with you that I got the vibe from Emilia that she was more overwhelmed with sadness that you went home than happiness that we had returned home! Such is life!!
