Today was Election Day and Jeff and I decided to cast our votes in the morning to avoid the after work rush with a hungry toddler in toe. We brought Emilia with us to the polls since having her along makes everything more fun! We had no idea it would take 1.5 hours of waiting in line to cast our vote followed by another 30 minutes of waiting in another line to feed them into the ballet box. It’s a good thing I remembered milk, goldfish grahams and a flip book! Emilia was a great little citizen and entertained us along with all kinds of people around us!When I picked Emilia up from daycare at the end of they day, she was wearing an "I Voted" sticker which had been placed on her back to keep her from taking it off. Cathy explained that the kids all voted during snack. I’m assuming their vote was regarding whether they wanted yogurt or crackers for snack... If only life were so simple for the rest of us...
