Sick of sick...

We are sick of being sick around our house! Emilia's right side ear infection from two weeks ago turned into a double ear infection paired with a bad cough that had her wheezing and very uncomfortable, especially at night. A trip to the doctor and we have on her 2nd round of antibiotics, a steroid syrup to help her airways stay open and a Nebulizer...

While we're at the doctor, Emilia pleads that she just wants to go home, but when the doctor comes in to listen to her breathing, look down her throat and check out her ears, she is an angel. She always gets praised by the doctor for being such a good girl. She has even been really great about the few Nebulizer treatments we have done with her to get the wheezy lungs to clear up. At home, these treatments go right along with letting her watch her favorite show...Super Why. We're happy to report she is on the up swing and we're hopeful that a week and a half off from daycare will have her all better!!

Now, my turn. I haven't been able to taste or smell ANYTHING for a week and a half. Now that I'm pregnant, my immune system is suppressed and whatever Emilia coughs into my face turns into a DOOZEY! My nose is stuffed and I am so depressed about all the food I can't smell or taste. I am PRAYING that I'll be able to smell and taste food again by Christmas Eve...but it's not looking good. I had a check up with my doctor today and she told me pregnancy colds are the worst and can last up to 3 weeks. Here's hoping I'm enjoying all of my senses again by 2010!!
