Friday Fun Day!

Emilia and I had a FUN FILLED Friday which started with Nana visiting in the morning, an egg hunt at daycare, some craft time at home and her first movie in the theater!!! You have to squeeze in as much as you can when you work full time! We had a fabulous day together and I am really cherishing the time we have as just her and I.

Here are some pics of her working on our craft for the day. She's drawing some grass the sheep she is going to create.

The sheep is on the paper and now it's time for the best part...adding the glue!

The sheep was so cute and fluffy, she just had to give him a kiss :)

The finished project! A sweet little sheep to hang on the fridge!

After craft time and lunch at home, we headed to the movie theater for Emilia's FIRST movie on the big screen!!! It was an 11:45am showing of Disney's The Princess and the Frog at the Riverside Theater. She brought along a little baggie with some goodies from the morning egg hunt and $2 from her Great Auntie Amy to pay for her ticket. She handed over her $2 and we got into the theater JUST as the lights were dimming. We picked out our seats (no one right behind or in front of us) and she requested her treats as I told her she could have them when we got to the movie. She is still so petite, so sitting in the theater seat required that she keep her legs flexed out, holding down the front of the seat from flipping up on her, but she did it :) There was just one little mishap with a mini candy bar that COMPLETELY melted in her hand that had us exiting the theater after about 20 minutes of the movie so I could wash it off, but it gave us an excuse to get a small popcorn to share. If I had known how much she was going to LOVE the popcorn, I would have gotten the medium!!

The rest of the movie went pretty well. Once the candy and popcorn was gone, there wasn't a ton to keep her interested except the movie and the baby that kept saying "hi" 2 rows ahead of us. I would give her overall theater manners a B. She made it through the whole movie and we both had a great time!! I snapped one picture of her before we headed home for a nap :) SUCH a fun day!
