On Saturday, Kate, Travis and Tommy had us over for some playtime, a BBQ and DQ for dessert! What a great night! Tommy and Emilia had a ton of fun together jumping off the top of the slide (and scaring me as I'm not used to this rough boy play), running along the fence and taking the 4-wheeler for a spin (just a couple crashes). They are both very considerate to each other and great at encouraging the other or sharing when the other showed interest in something.
After dinner, we walked to DQ and were treated to dessert. How CUTE are these two holding hands on the walk!??!
Welcome to the land of 2 HAPPY kids!
The next day, we had plans with Tommy to head to the circus. Kate had free tickets from work, so we thought, why not?!? This was a first for both Emilia and I. Just outside the circus, we encountered our first clown. Emilia's hand squeezed mine a little tighter when he approached us. We stayed for the first half of the show which was enough time to see some rope tricks, a bear on a bike, some unicorns and to indulge in some cotton candy. We let the kids pick out a "goodie" on the way out. Emilia choose a light up butterfly wand that plays music and Tommy picked a HUGE balloon. Check the circus experience off the list...I don't think we'll need to revisit the circus...ever.
