Emilia's First Haircut

We waited a LONG time to get Emilia's hair cut for the first time. The first haircut means buh-bye to the very first baby curls she ever had. So sad. Thankfully, I survived...and so did she :)

We made an appointment for Saturday morning. Friday night, I did my best to get her excited about getting her hair cut the next day. She was worried that it would hurt, but I assured her it wouldn't. I took pictures of her LONG hair as she admired herself in the mirror. When did my baby with barely ANY hair suddenly grow up so much?

Saturday morning, we headed to Kids Hair. Emilia was pretty serious at first...holding onto baby for security, but there were no tears.

The salon was very colorful and kid friendly and Barney was on the tv at the station Emilia was sitting at. She flashed me a quick smile while the stylist combed through her hair. I told the stylist we just needed a trim to even everything out.

Here's the first snip...

She was such a good client!

It looks great! A little more bounce in her curls!

A cute braid and painted nails completed the new look! She picked the purple polish and got sparkles on top!

No worries, Liv...you've got about 3 years before we'll be bringing you in for your first cut...
