Desperation...

Every night after work and daycare, before Jeff has arrived home from his day, Emilia and I get home and try and figure out what dinner will be that night. Working full time makes your nighttime schedule pretty tight ~ home by 5:15pm and dinner by 6pm ~ at least this is what we try to accomplish.

Sometimes I have dinner planned out and I'm able to whip up a meal for the 3 of us to enjoy together...but this often means that dinner doesn't hit the plates until nearly 7pm, especially if we stopped to run a quick errand before coming home. And I know that late dinners are not a good habit to get Emilia into - especially considering her bedtime then ends up being shortly after we wipe the meal off her hands and face.

Other times, there is no way Emilia can wait a minute past 6pm for dinner, so I do my best to figure out a delicious, healthy, balanced meal for the little miss while she stands at my feet, looking up and begging with a look of utter desperation... I just wanted to share this look with you...
