This weekend, while Jeff was busy working in the yard on the new pathway, Emilia and I headed over to the Farmers Market. It was a gorgeous day and we were happy to go on a fun outing to pick up many of our favorite Fall and Winter veggies! The first find – butternut and acorn squash... It’s hard to believe that just under a year ago, we were introducing Emilia to butternut squash as her first real food and now she’s attempting to say what it is! Along with our squash, we picked up beets and eggplant. Time to look up some yummy recipes! Any suggestions? These will be new foods for Emilia and I have to admit – I’m a little worried about feeding her beets. It will for sure be the toughest stain we have encountered as parents! But, as a beet lover myself, I have to believe she will love them too :) Stay tuned...
After our adventure around the market, we visited the park. Emilia wasted no time making all kinds of friends! The kids just swarm around her and ask all kinds of questions about her...name, age, does she talk... Then they shared their names, ages and their first words – cute stuff. I snapped a picture of the crew before we headed home to make lunch :)
