With Halloween less than a week away, we decided it was time to carve some pumpkins! And although this blog is dedicated to Emilia updates – the carving extravaganza doesn’t exactly include her because she was napping. To be honest – I’m not sure we could have accomplished our masterpieces with her awake! She did, however, plop herself down perfectly among the pumpkins that were sitting by the front door for this picture :)
Once she went down for her nap, the gloves went on, the guts got cleared and the taping, poking and carving began! We all anticipated what Emilia’s reaction to the carved and lit pumpkins would be when she woke up. We agreed that it would be a wide-eyed look with her exclaiming, “oohhhh!” Everything is so exciting and new to her which makes it even more exciting and fun for us :) Next year, we’ll let Emilia dig in...
