Children's Museum!

Wow, did we have a fun filled Friday night! I couldn't wait for the end of the day to come at work so I could get home and get to more important things...dinner at Punch Pizza and our first trip to the Children's Museum! Emilia's Aunt Jill got us a family membership to the museum for Christmas and this was our first time putting it to use. What a GREAT gift!

On our way to there, I said to Jeff, "Now since we have a membership, we don't have to try and squeeze everything in tonight..." but once we got there - we felt like kids wanting to explore everything this AMAZING place has to offer!

Our trip up the stairs showed us that this place really is all about kids. The stairs have a special, lower railing for kids to hold onto which Emilia was thrilled about since all she has been wanting to do at home is hold the railing while going up and down the stairs.

Our adventures began in the Habitot gallery - an area reserved just for toddlers. Emilia loved it from the minute she stepped in. Ramps to climb, tunnels to run through and buttons to push!

Next - we visited the World of Clifford! There was a ton of stuff to explore here too and Emilia even got behind the wheel of a TRUCK! Check out the picture of her giving a little wave!

Then is was on to Earth World where we got to pretend to be ants in an ant hill, crawl through a tree trunk and see a live snake up close!

After that - we took a trip through World Works where Emilia and Jeff worked on "Making a Gear Train" and Emilia got to experiment with some ping pongs and water.

Our last stop was on a quick trip through Our World where Emilia wrapped up a baby at the doctor's office and watched kids on stage for a mini concert.
As you can see - we DID NOT stick to the original plan of limiting our exploration. We squeezed in every bit of fun possible and we can't wait to go back! After burning off so much energy, Emilia ate all of the crackers and milk we packed along for the trip and was asking for more food when we got home. So at 7:45pm - she was up in her highchair eating a "late night snack" before getting her teeth brushed and falling asleep in 3 minutes while being rocked in my lap.
