Little Ms. Crafty

Okay - so Little Ms. Crafty is referring to me...but ultimately - my craft craze will result in Emilia having some SUPER CUTE new dresses for this summer! I got the itch to take out my sewing machine last week. I'm not sure where the urge came from - but regardless - I just cannot wait to create something fabulous.

So Sunday, I went to the fabric store during Emilia's nap in search of some great fabrics. I picked 3 different prints, some thread, a pattern pack and home I went. I unfolded the pattern paper and was a little overwhelmed - unsure of where to begin. So I folded everything back up and decided to wait until this week.

Well - today, I was looking at one of my new favorite websites CoolMomPicks and came across a posting about a GREAT little shop on Etsy called LittleFishBigPond. This is where I was really inspired... They have these You Make It Kits (Beginner Level) that include:

I ordered the kit to make this little dress. She will be able to wear it with a little shirt underneath and some jeans while we wait for the warm weather...and when summer comes, it will be even MORE perfect. It's so funny how much more excited I am for Emilia to have cute clothes than I am for myself...uggg.

I can't hardly WAIT for everything to arrive in the mail! And what's even sweeter...I can use the pattern / instructions from this kit to make more dresses with the fabric I just bought! Stay tuned...I'll post before and after pictures!
