9 Months Old!!

My little Livvy bug is 9 months old today!  I can hardly believe it.  I stayed home with her yesterday as she was getting over being sick and I absolutely loved every smiley, sunny minute we spent playing in the living room, just the two of us.  It made me think back to my maternity leave that doesn't feel like that long ago but, when I look at Olivia, seems like forever ago!

Olivia Grace - 9 months old

At 9 months, here's a little bit of what Olivia is up to...

Smiles for Daddy :)

ROLLING!  We refer to her as "Rolly, Polly, Ollie" on a daily basis.  She is showing no interest in lifting her little belly off the floor and getting on her knees to crawl.  She is perfectly happy rolling to where she would like to go.  And she is GOOD at it!  Leave her with some space to roll and watch her go!  She sees what she wants and gets there :)

EATING!  Olivia loves to eat.  The only thing she has not loved so far is avocado.  She is great at picking up Cheerios, puffs and shredded cheese and feeding herself.  Even though she barely has one tooth, she makes a great little chewing motion to mash up all of her food.  She knows she has to be a good little eater to keep up her figure.

GROWING!  It is clear to see that Olivia is thriving and growing beautifully!  She has pudgy cheeks I cannot get enough kisses on and rolly thighs and arms that are so fun to squeeze and nibble.  I can't wait to see what the scale says about this girl at her 9 month check up.  I'm a little nervous that she'll be outgrowing the size 3 diapers I now have a HUGE stock pile of.

CHATTING!  Well, she's not exactly talking, but she sure knows how to get your attention.  She has got a high pitched squeal that she uses to get her sisters attention, and she continues to say mama and dada.  She really seems to get that when she chants Mamamamama and looks at me with her big baby blues while flapping her arms, she's going to get some milk.  Smart girl.  I'm starting a couple basic sign language words with her now (milk, more), so hopefully she'll be able to communicate that way soon too.

Squealing to get Emilia's attention.

SLEEPING!  Olivia has not been consistently sleeping through the night until the last couple nights.  It really doesn't bother me too much since Jeff is such an amazing hubby that he goes downstairs and gets her for me when she wakes at night to eat and brings her up to bed so I can nurse her and then brings her right back down.  I barely have to wake up.  I do have to say though, the last couple nights of solid sleep have been pretty dreamy...but it also is just a reminder that Olivia's baby days are fading away.

Napping.
